Bison Trade Frame’s latest invention – the Genesis Vertical Slider – has met with approval north of the border after the product enjoyed a highly successful showcasing at the recent Royal Highland Show.

Holyrood Contracts, Edinburgh’s leading manufacturer of bespoke joinery products, contacted Bison shortly after the unveiling of the revolutionary PVC-U sliding sash window at The FIT Show, eager to take stock of and parade the product themselves at Scotland’s largest annual farming and countryside showcase.

First hosted in 1822, the Royal Highland Show on average attracts over £200 million in business.

Company directors Mark Tetley and Martyn Haworth were only too happy to pass on a sample of the Genesis VS along with the entire contents of their exhibition stand onto Holyrood Contracts who gave it prominent positioning at the very forefront of their own stand, generating a substantial level of interest.

More than 170,000 visitors attended the event, held in Ingliston over four days, which gave further significant exposure to a product that is already widely considered to be the next best alternative to the traditional sliding wooden timber window.

The Genesis VS visually replicates the character and charm of timber and combines it with the very best modern technology, making it the perfect window solution for both period properties and contemporary households. It also possesses traditional jointing methods used on every joint and comes available in a wide selection of Heritage finishes giving the truly realistic period appearance of its timber ancestors.

Martyn has so far been delighted with the response to the Genesis VS:

“Since the launch of the Genesis VS in April we have been inundated with interest and requests for samples from installers across the country.

“Now that the product has reached Scotland and been given an airing at such a prestigious and historic show by a company of the stature of Holyrood Contracts we expect to receive a similar amount of interest from that part of the world.”

David Gill, Commercial Director at Holyrood Contracts was unequivocal in his praise for the Genesis VS:

“The Royal Highland Show is a major event and 2013 was the first year that Holyrood Contracts has had a presence. Our company, based in the heart of Scotland’s capital city Edinburgh, has been synonymous with the manufacturing of high quality sash and case windows for almost 30 years. As a major supplier of windows we are often asked if we can supply UPVC products and to date we have never been able to confidently promote such a product until now.

“The Bison vertical slider is superb and constructed unlike any other. We were impressed with both the quality and finish of the product. After approaching Mark and Martyn with a view to promoting their products at the show we were delighted when they offered us their entire display.

“We received a fantastic response from the public and trade alike at our first show event. We now look forward to developing our alliance with Bison Trade Frames in the future.”
